Multiplex System
|
For Tracer Electronics, we developed a complete line of
miniature digital transponders that fit in a standard door contact. The resulting 2-wire multiplex system is the lowest cost in the industry, with typical per-point cost of less than $5 (OEM). Applications include burglar alarms, energy metering, and monitoring.

Temperature Controls

The smart thermostat incorporates occupancy detection, infrared wireless communications in the room, RS485 network connection to a building automation system, and high voltage relays for direct HVAC control The devise is part of Inncom International's line of guestroom controls for the hotel marketplace. RMT has been responsible for the entire product line development
between 1985 and 1999. The IR system developed and patented by RMT allows reliable communications in a 600 square foot room and is practically immune to path blocking by people or objects.

For Energy Methods, RMT designed a complete two-way power-line carrier control system, used primarily in large building automation and energy management. RMT also
developed a low-cost, high-sensitivity RF control system (303MHz).

Lighting Control

RMT has developed a line of emergency fluorescent lights for use as exit signs in commercial buildings. For another customer, we developed incandescent dimming control panels using distributed intelligence for practically unlimited expansion capabilities.
